Comfortable, relaxing stay in Newark
- What did you like most?I've stayed here a few times, and it's a nice hotel. There was a glitch at check-in, and I had to wait about 15m - staff was exceptionally friendly and didn't charge me for incidentals because of the mix-up (I hate waiting for deposits to come back, so I was grateful). The room was clean, great view of planes taking off on the 0th floor. Breakfast was great; other food was OK but they could have a bigger menu. I was also glad they had NA beer; I do not drink and it's nice to have options. They had a nice full gym with lots of equipment and plenty of room to move. The shuttle to the airport was great and convenient also. A lot of places you have to sign up for a slot, this is first-come first-serve.
- Was there anything you didn't like?The pool is the real downfall of this place. It's beautiful, but it's nestled inside in such a way so that there's no way to unwind and relax - no long folding chairs, no way to get outside, no patio. Also the hours are absolutely terrible - 10-8. We saw hardly anyone at the pool because the hours are so restrictive. One of my main "dealbreakers" when I travel is a great pool. There's really no way to change how the pool is situated, but hours could be greatly improved.
