Just 320 yards from Berlin’s lively Hackescher Markt square, this boutique hotel features a fitness center, rental bikes and stylish rooms with free Wi-Fi. Museum Island is only a quarter mile away. Decorated in a vintage British style, the rooms have large windows and hardwood floors. Comforts include a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, an iPod docking station and a private bathroom. Monbijou Hotel has a restaurant and bistro, and drinks can be enjoyed at the bar. You can also relax with a book in the Monbijou’s library area. A large variety of cafes, bars and shops are within a 5-minute walk of Hotel Monbijou. Hackescher Markt S-Bahn Train Station is 500 ft away, with services to Alexanderplatz and the Friedrichstraße shopping street.

Disappointing experience with poor service, misleading promises, and no support despite paying extra
- What did you like most?Positive aspects: The only positive aspect of this hotel is its location, which is very convenient and central.
- Was there anything you didn't like?Negative aspects: Unfortunately, my overall experience was extremely disappointing, both with Booking.com and Monbijou Hotel. During the booking process, Booking.com clearly stated that for reservations over €698, the airport transportation would be covered free of charge, and that a booking link would be sent after confirmation. We contacted both Booking.com and the hotel multiple times regarding this service. Booking.com asked us several times for our confirmation number and PIN, which we provided, but we never received any response, link, or assistance. This service was advertised but never delivered. Additionally, we paid extra money (30–45 € per night) to upgrade our room specifically to have a queen-size bed. However, when we arrived, the room did not have a queen bed — instead, they had simply pushed two single beds together, which was very uncomfortable and unacceptable considering the extra fee. When I went to the reception to explain the situation, the staff responded in a cold and unhelpful manner, saying there was nothing they could do. No refund was offered and no alternative solution was provided. On top of that, the room was extremely cold, and overall the service felt careless and unprofessional. Despite paying more, we received no additional comfort, no proper service, and no support. Both the hotel and Booking.com handled this situation very poorly. I was deeply disappointed by Booking.com and shocked by the level of service at this hotel. This experience was truly frustrating and ruined what should have been an enjoyable stay.
