- Was there anything you didn't like?I recently stayed at Supper Hotel Amsterdam, and unfortunately my experience did not meet the expectations of a 4-star property. Firstly, the overall cleanliness of the hotel and room was below the standard I would expect. While the concept and style of the hotel are interesting, the condition and upkeep did not reflect a premium experience. There was also confusion regarding whether breakfast was included in our booking. This mix-up was frustrating and could have been avoided with clearer communication at check-in. Our room itself had several issues. It featured two entrance doors with a step down inside the room, and the area between these doors had a strong sewer-like smell. On the second night, a staff member entered to leave towels and make the bed but left the bedroom door open. Unfortunately, this allowed the sewer odour to filter into the room overnight, which left us feeling uncomfortable and uneasy. There were also multiple maintenance concerns: • The toilet roll holder was already broken before we arrived and fell off during our stay. • The TV projector quality was very poor and difficult to watch. • The bedroom lighting was inadequate and not practical. • The private French doors were not fitted properly — the top and bottom bolt locks did not work, which is a serious security concern. Overall, the stay was disappointing due to cleanliness, maintenance, and security issues. With better attention to detail and improved standards, this hotel could offer a much better guest experience. However, based on this visit, it did not meet the expectations of a 4-star stay.
